I attended a wedding of my male second cousin, he’s 3 years older than me, and her long time fiancé first Sunday morning of October. And I personally had a great time seeing them finally, for the longest time, 15 years to be exact, they are finally getting married! And probably, a year later, they will decide to annul their wedding because of incompatibilities, or a third party involved (just kidding).

That is so mainstream right now. But I do believe they will be together as long as they live. I noticed that they have hired a wedding videographer, and this is not the shocking part. It is a very long fifteen-year relationship and they surely want to capture this grand day of the beginning of the new chapter of their lives in a video.  The shocking part for me is that, the wedding videographer that they have hired accepted it as a same day edit, meaning, the videos captured this morning will be edited and finalized on that same day and get it burned on a DVD and delivered to them later afternoon or evening. I have never heard about same day edits for wedding events before.

And it got me started thinking about the quality of the final video. My concern was, video editing is a tedious job and needs keen attention to details, it definitely eats a lot of time to finish a great quality wedding videography. So to be given such a short amount of time to edit a wedding video would mean a poor quality of a video. But after I had watched the actual wedding video, I was a bit of surprised and impressed! It didn’t turned out as bad as I expected it, but it could have been better, but then again, it isn’t that bad. On the other hand, except for the fact that it could have been better if the video editing is given more time, same-day-edit videos show more benefits especially if the editing is done and deliver during the reception later at night.
