It is always advisable to make a same day edit so that you can at least share some important scenes to the guest during the reception, a clip would do, a compilation of the testimony and some pre-nuptial pictures. You have to concentrate on getting those once in a lifetime shot, and find the best angles of each.
Wedding videography is a big challenge to a wedding videographer, because there are so many things that are rolling during this event and there will be a huge pressure, on how you could capture every single detail during the wedding. Wedding video is not always attainable to have an exact plan, because everything can have slight change of flow. You have to meet with the bride and the groom as advance as likely. As videographer you must know where each part of the wedding would take place, there are some couples that will always likely have two different places, for the holy matrimony and for the reception.
You must this into consideration, try to find about the people that they wanted to include in the video, ask who are those key persons, there are some relatives of the couples that who are from out of town, ask if what do they look like so that you can lock on the specific person and shoot or capture a video during the wedding day.
Every single wedding is very unique, and there are certain things that are very common to all weddings. You must have a videography checklist in order to know some key important shots and this should help you get the important shots of the bride and groom as what the clients and the guest expected to see in the wedding video.
